The Golden Age at Urban

The 40's are back on the High Street and they are better than ever in Urban Outfitters (US) new collection The Golden Age. I've found myself online shopping the collection all weekend and can't wait for my purchases to arrive. There's some great prints and classically beautiful silhouettes all at affordable prices. What more can a girl ask for?

Rob Ryan Valentines Treats

With Valentines day just around the corner our favourite artists are showering us with beautiful gifts...well they are definitely giving us the opportunity to buy their art for our loved ones anyway.
This is the latest pretty offering from Rob Ryan which he showcased on his blog this week. As you can see from the close up image it's a limited edition run of 250 hand screenprinted lazer cuts. I love the texture that the screen printed blue text brings to Rob's signature lazer cut work. A great fresh new twist.
The valentines treat is available to buy online in Rob's Etsy store and in real life at his shop on Columbia Road in London, E2 7RG (this is a sneaky peak inside Ryantown - I can't wait to visit next time I'm in London).

Vintage Aprons

I came across this lovely collection of vintage apron ephemera one day on Flickr I think (unfortunately I didn't save the link but if I ever come across it again I'll definitely update this post). I love the illustration styles, the colours and the feelings that come to mind when I think of the days gone by when aprons like these were part of a woman's everyday wardrobe.
